Xnet Communications today announced that Captain FTP 4.5 is now a Universal Binary compatible with both the Power PC and Intel-based processors for Mac OS X. “The improvements we made in the previous version allowed us to build a Universal Binary for the new Intel processor without having to compromise performance, in fact we have taken it to a new level,” notes the company. “Tasks which previously took several seconds to complete now happen in milliseconds on both Power PC and Intel processors.
