Apple has announced it is opening a new retail store in Toronto, Ontario on Saturday, September 2, 2006. The Apple Store Sherway Gardens, which is located at 25 The West Mall, will be open to the public at 9:30 a.m. EDT. As part of its usual Grand Opening promotion, Apple will give away an Apple T-shirt to the first 1,000 people to visit the store. In addition, the company is offering a chance to win a Digital Lifestyle Collection valued at US$2,229. The winner will receive a 17-inch flat-panel Intel Core Duo iMac, an iPod nano, a Canon PowerShot SD450 digital camera, a Sony Handycam CCD-TRV138, and an HP Deskjet 5440 printer. No purchase is necessary, and entries must be received from September 2 through October 2, 2006.
