AddressX 1.53: Access your MS Exchange GAL from Address Book

AddressX 1.53 – the software that lets you access your Microsoft Exchange
Global Address List (GAL) directly via your Apple Address Book.

2006-Oct-16 : Snerdware announces an update to AddressX, the popular
program that lets you access your Microsoft Exchange Global Address List
(GAL) directly via your Apple Address Book:

– securely upload your GAL into its own address group your Address Book

– set a schedule for automatic uploads

– control which primary information is uploaded

– use iSync to sync your Address Book’s GAL contacts elsewhere

– all with no need to install additional software on your Exchange server

Version 1.53 adds the following:

– added ability to add user-specified content into the “Note” field when
updating GAL entries into Address Book … useful for filtering Address
Book entries when syncing to devices

– added preferences to set the timeout for networking connections

– changed the behavior to avoid trying to update if the Exchange server is
not reachable

– fixed a problem that could prevent authentication in some instances

– fixed a problem where an erroneous login failure message was given

– added the ability to specify a custom FBA login URL

AddressX can be downloaded via
http://www.snerdware.com/addressx/download.php and requires Mac OS X 10.4
or newer and an Exchange email account with WebDAV/OWA support. AddressX
operates in trial mode until licensed – $19.95 USD (free upgrade for
AddressX 1.2 users : volume & institutional pricing available).
