Red Marble Games, in association with Alawar Entertainment, has announced “Snowy: The Bear’s Adventure,” a new platform game for the Mac. “Snowy features a cute polar bear making his way home through the Arctic. He’ll face dozens of goofy monsters over 88 levels in four game worlds, armed only with snowballs. Snowy gets past them by freezing his enemies with snowballs and booting them across the screen. When a frozen creature lands, it bursts into a bonus item or power-up. One pickup allows Snowy to throw snowballs faster than normal; another plops our hero down in a helicopter that protects him from harm. Snowy will need all the help he can get as he takes on enemies in a garden paradise, a volcanic pit and two more massive game worlds. He’ll also face four enormous bosses! Players who can’t stand the heat will enjoy an Easy Mode with 100 lives.” Snowy requires Mac OS X, 10.3.9 or later, and is priced at US$19.95.
