Macintosh Seminars and Workshops abound at Southern California MacFair 2006
Wednesday, October 18, 2006 – Norwalk CA–Neil Ticktin,
Editor-in-Chief & Publisher, MacTech Magazine is this year’s Keynote
speaker at the Southern California MacFair 2006
(http://www.macfair.org), the region’s largest Macintosh event. It
returns for its fifth year at Cerritos College in Norwalk, California
for two huge days, Friday and Saturday, November 3-4.
There are over 28 presentation seminars and 15 world class training
workshops at this years Mega Mac event including presentations from
Peter Mellow, senior lecturer at the Auckland University of
Technology in New Zealand and winner of the Apple Outstanding
Tertiary Educator Award. In addition, Arthur Maddalena, lead Mac
genius at Apple computer will present an overview of the known
features and benefits of the new Mac OS X Leopard.
Over 40 companies are participating at the event including, Xerox,
ProVue Development, MacAlly, Prosoft Engineering, R/com networks,
FastMac, VersionTracker.com, Elgato Systems, ADS Tech,
MacSupportExperts.com and many more.
An extremely popular feature at the SoCal MacFair 2006 are the
world-class hands-on and classroom training workshops in state of the
art Macintosh labs. Over 15 workshops are being offered including:
Photoshop, InDesign, Final Cut Pro and Aperture. There will also be
workshops on Mac OS X Server and Client, FileMaker Pro, Keynote,
DayLite and Flash.
The full and half day classes are taught by world renowned
instructors including James Rea, Stephen M. Burns, Scott Immerman,
Marni Melrose, David Barrett, Erica Gamet, Philip Staiger and Michael
Levin. Due to limited Macintosh stations in each lab, space is very
limited. Advance registration is encouraged.
The Southern California MacFair 2006 is centrally located for all
southern California residents at Cerritos College – just a short
drive from all major California freeways. Hands-on workshops and
classes are scheduled Friday and Saturday, November 3-4. The vendor
expo and presentation seminars are Saturday, November 4th from
