Thursby Software Systems today announced that their newest Mac product offering, ADmitMac for CAC (AFC), has been formally accepted as part of the U.S. Army’s enterprise desktop standards. “The U.S. Army’s Technical Authority (TA) Implementation Memorandum establishes minimum baseline computer system configurations within the Army. The latest TA adds the Apple Macintosh as a peer OS and as an alternative to Microsoft Windows XP. The new guidelines state that Thursby’s ADmitMac for CAC is required for all Army Macintosh computers to join Active Directory environments that require cryptographic login.” ADmitMac for CAC is priced at US$169.
