Fujitsu Computer Products of America today introduced an enhanced model of its award-winning Fujitsu ScanSnap scanning solution for Mac users, the S500M, with 20 percent faster scanning speeds, improved automatic paper size detection and a new design that complements Mac computers. Additionally, Fujitsu is offering customers the ability to incorporate optical character recognition (OCR) and business card reader functionality into their ScanSnap S500M applications with a mail-in rebate to receive free copies of Readiris Pro v11(full) software and Cardiris 3.5(full) software from I.R.I.S. Group (total value of US$248). The Fujitsu ScanSnap S500M is now available for $495.
