SMILEONMYMAC RELEASES DISCLABEL 4.0 WITH SUPPORT FOR MULTIPLE LAYERS, GRADIENTS
New Drawing Tools Added; Text Editing and Design Creation Simplified
San Francisco, CA – November 16, 2006 – SmileOnMyMac has released
DiscLabel 4.0, the latest version of its award-winning CD/DVD label
design software for the Mac. This major upgrade features new design
tools, such as multiple layer support and gradients, as well as
interface improvements that simplify the creation of new designs.
The release coincides with the start of holiday season. “Many Mac
users take advantage of iTunes and iMovie to create personalized CDs
and DVDs as gifts,” said Philip Goward, co-founder of SmileOnMyMac.
“DiscLabel lets you easily create great-looking labels, as well as
jewel cases and DVD boxes, that make these gifts special.”
Among its design function enhancements, DiscLabel 4.0 features the
option to add multiple layers, which can be hidden or reordered. The
user can copy and paste all layers into a new design to create
additional packaging elements like jewel cases. New tools for
creating freehand scribbles and polygons have been added, as well as
support for multicolor gradient fills for text and objects.
“We’ve enhanced many aspects of the software, , based on user
feedback in surveys and emails,” said Goward. “iTunes track
information can be edited more easily, and we’ve streamlined the new
design creation process, whether the user wants to use a template or
create a custom design from scratch.”
DiscLabel 4.0 costs $32.95. A new DiscLabel Family Pack, for up to 5
computers in one household, is $49.95. Upgrades from earlier versions
of DiscLabel are $15.00, and free to users who purchased after August
1, 2006. A fully-functional demo version is available at
