Macworld and Aspyr Media will co-host the seventh annual MacBowl, an invitation-only Macintosh industry bowling competition and charity event to build a computer lab and support computer education in an at-risk public San Francisco elementary school. “Elite Macintosh industry companies will compete fiercely for the coveted MacBowl trophy while raising the funds and equipment necessary for the school. Companies involved include: Elgato Systems, Freeverse, Microsoft, Miglia, Other World Computing, Roxio, Seagate, Smith Micro, and The Software MacKiev Company, among others. Other participating companies include Epson, Griffin Technology, IDG World Expo, Parallels, and more. The competition takes place Thursday, January 11, 2007 at 6:00 p.m. at the Yerba Buena Bowl, 750 Folsom Street, San Francisco.
