Advenio today announced the release of MacGourmet 2, a major update to their popular recipe, wine and cooking note organizer. This release features a new, improved user interface with new ways to search and organize information, and a faster database. It also adds new display, print and .Mac publishing themes, improves .Mac publishing performance, and offers new meta data, such as category, cuisine, course, summary and yield. It also adds more flexible recipe scaling and metric conversion. MacGourmet 2 is available as a free upgrade for registered users, and is priced at US$24.95. In addition, anyone who purchases MacGourmet or an upgrade bundle before January 31st will be entered into a drawing for one of two iPod nano (PRODUCT) RED Special Editions. MacGourmet 2 is a Universal Binary and requires Mac OS X 10.4 or later.
