PicLens 1.5 beta for Safari released

Cooliris today released PicLens Beta 1.5 for Safari, a browser plug-in that instantly transforms your browser into an immersive, full-screen slideshow experience that goes beyond the confines of the traditional browser window. With PicLens, the user simply clicks a translucent icon that appears atop images of interest, say, thumbnail images resulting from a Google Image search. Doing so instantly transforms the set of images into a full-screen slideshow, whereby the user can then swiftly navigate from one full-sized photo to the next, or press the play button, sit back, and enjoy the show. New features include the ability to search Google Images and Yahoo Images within a full-screen PicLens environment in just about any language. Seamless multi-page browsing is also enabled for these two image search engines. What’s more, an improved console lets users jump directly from PicLens to the Web page containing the viewed image. PicLens 1.5 now supports Safari 3.0 for Mac users and is free-of-charge.
