MacForensicsLab Version 2.5

SubRosaSoft.com Inc Announces MacForensicsLab Version 2.5

Improved UI and performance, increased search capabilities, beta versions
for Windows and Linux, and a new website full of hints and tips.

Union City, CA September 18th, 2007 — SubRosaSoft.com Inc., a software
company focusing on e-discovery, digital forensics, and law enforcement
technologies today announced the availability of MacForensicsLab version
2.5.

MacForensicsLab is the most powerful and cost-effective forensic tool on
the market.

MacForensicsLab is the first all-in-one, easy-to-use forensics software
suite for Mac OS X. To meet the demands of modern law enforcement and
digital forensic investigators, the new Mac OS X version 2.5 includes a
beta version for Linux and a Windows beta subversion. While SubRosaSoft
advocates using Macintosh as your primary tools for forensics
investigation, the inclusion of Linux and Windows versions will give
investigator the much needed flexibility in a diversified environment. All
three versions use the same UI design, enabling an investigator to adapt to
another OS quickly. The Mac OS X version is available immediately whilst
the other two are available only to existing licensed users in a mature
beta form.

The new version also sports many user interface enhancements, making
MacForensicsLab even more user friendly. The windows are laid out in a more
logical fashion thanks to the input of many forensics investigators. New
features such as email alerts to contact the user or even cell phone when a
time intensive operation has completed, have been included.

Version 2.5 also includes better performance with updated engines in most
operations. Functions that were processor intensive have been sped up often
by many times their previous speed. Along with code optimization,
operations such as searching and analyzing the suspects’ drives are not
only a lot quicker, but further enhanced to include more keywords, more
flexibility, and more power. More options when performing an acquisition
also meant a field investigator can image a suspect drive a lot faster.

SubRosaSoft has greatly enhanced the (http://www.MacForensicsLab.com/) to
include more than a hundred hints and tips on how to assist e-discovery,
digital forensics, and law enforcement professionals.
