Small Tree Communications today announced plans to launch its abcSAN iSCSI initiator for Apple systems running the latest version of Mac OS X, 10.5 Leopard. Small Tree will deliver its iSCSI initiator software with Adaptec Snap Server networked storage hardware to provide a complete backup solution for Mac customers. “The debut of abcSAN complemented by Adaptec Snap Server iSCSI storage provides Apple users with a superior alternative to locally attached storage for Time Machine backups,” stated Corky Seeber, President of Small Tree Communications. abcSAN single-user and five-user licenses retail for US$149 and $495, respectively.
