LapWorks today announced two laptop stands — the Attaché and Envoy — that elevate PC and Mac laptop computers when working at a desk to improve viewing and typing ergonomics, and cool a laptop to extend its life. Each stand features two built-in fans for cooling, 4-port USB 2.0 hubs for connectivity, and push-button-operation for four elevation settings. The cooling fans use a quiet, long-lasting hydraulic ball bearing system to keep air moving under laptops. Constructed of sturdy ABS plastic, the US$69.95 Attaché and $49.95 Envoy are identical, except the Attaché features a large aluminum face plate that serves as a giant heat sink.
