SANTA CLARA, Calif., Feb. 20 — FileMaker, Inc. today announced that it has
opened registration for the 2008 FileMaker Developer Conference (register
at http://www.filemaker.com/devcon2008_pr). The conference takes place July
13 to 17 at the JW Marriott Desert Ridge Resort & Spa in Phoenix, Ariz.
Those registering for the conference by May 16 will save $200. In addition,
each conference attendee will receive a complimentary copy of FileMaker Pro
9 Advanced, a value of $499.

The annual Developer Conference is the world’s largest gathering of
corporate and independent FileMaker developers, consultants and trainers.
More than 1,000 participants are expected this year.

The theme for this year’s conference is “The FileMaker Code: Unlock the
Secrets to Successful Solution Development.” Attendees will have the
opportunity to learn about new technologies, bridge the gaps in their
development skill set and discover what is on the horizon for future
versions of FileMaker software.

This year’s conference will feature content for all levels of FileMaker Pro
developers. More than 70 sessions and workshops will focus on best
practices and new techniques, with a special concentration of sessions on
Web services and PHP development. New for this year’s conference is a
series of special workshops featuring modules from the FileMaker Training
Series, the official curriculum of the FileMaker 9 product line. A number
of business development workshops, aimed at helping independent developers
increase their business opportunities, will also be offered.

“Last year’s FileMaker Developer Conference was one of our highest-rated
ever, with satisfaction ratings as high as 93 percent — and 94 percent of
participants said they could immediately apply what they had learned,” said
Ryan Rosenberg, vice president of marketing and services, FileMaker, Inc.
“Building on the success of last year, we are delivering more hands-on
technical and business development workshops than ever before, all of which
will have an immediate impact on developers’ skills and success.”

The conference also will offer under-the-hood technical sessions by
FileMaker engineers, and meetings with product managers and technical
support staff. FileMaker also will host a large multi-vendor product
showcase featuring third-party solutions and products, along with a host of
exciting social and networking events.
