PLUG-IN.
Fort Worth, TX, April 14, 2008 — Comm-Unity Networking Systems releases a
public beta of its upcoming MMRegEx plug-in for FileMaker Pro. This plug-in
brings the power of Regular Expressions to your calculations. This is the
first official release of this plug-in to the public. This beta is
available immediately at http://labs.cnsplug-ins.com/ for both Mac OS X and
Windows.
Description
MMRegEx is a FileMaker Pro 7+ plug-in that brings the power of Regular
Expressions to your calculations. With this plug-in, you can perform
searches and replacements on text using “patterns” instead of “literal”
text. For example, you could use the search pattern “gr[ae]y to search for
any instance of “gray” or “grey” in a text field.
Regular Expressions are not limited to searching for different spellings of
common words, though. You can use them to search for all the email
addresses in a text field. You could use them to format phone numbers
quickly and easily. You can even use them to do interesting things like
wrapping blocks of text to a certain number of characters, and a variety of
other things.

The beta version is available immediately at http://labs.cnsplug-ins.com/
