Title: Stairways Software releases Keyboard Maestro 3.2
Description: Stairways Software today released Keyboard Maestro
version 3.2 adding macro group palettes, integrated help, trigger on
Wake, Script pseudo-trigger, Alert action and more.
Perth, Western Australia – 25 June 2008 – Stairways Software Pty Ltd
is pleased to announce Keyboard Maestro 3.2, the new version of its
powerful productivity enhancer for Mac OS X.
This release adds many new features to the Macro Group macro
collections, including the ability to make temporary or permanent
floating palettes, application-specific floating palettes,
temporarily enable macros or toggle macro groups on and off as needed.
For example you could set up a macro group:
* to launch applications, so that Command-Control-L,M activates Mail,
Command-Control-L,S activates Safari, Command-Control-L,F activates
the Finder.
* to move and resize windows, so that Command-Control-M followed by
arrow keys followed by Command-Control-M moved the front window.
* to execute actions via a palette, so that Command-Control-E
displayed a palette of macros and clicking on any of them executes
the macro and hides the palette.
* to align objects in a CAD program, so that Command-Control-A
displayed a palette of alignment options, allowing you to click
various options and then close the palette.
* to have application-specific macro palettes, so that whenever you
are using the application the appropriate macro palettes are
displayed.
We have added extensive integrated help to enable users to get the
most out of Keyboard Maestro.
This release also adds a Wake trigger, Login and Script
pseudo-triggers, and an Alert action allowing macros to be
conditionally stopped, and the French translation by Philippe
Bonnaure.
A number of other enhancements and bug fixes as documented below are
also included.
Using Keyboard Maestro’s macros you can control and enhance
applications; control windows or menus; insert text; open documents,
applications or URLs; execute scripts; control the system or iTunes;
and more, all with the touch of a key, click of the mouse,
periodically or at specific times, when an application is launched or
running, or even over the Internet using Keyboard Maestro’s built in
web server.
Using Keyboard Maestro’s Program Switcher and Window Switcher you can
cycle through applications or windows, closing, hiding, launching,
and more. Keyboard Maestro can help you regain control of your
crowded screen by letting you close or hide multiple windows or
applications.
Using Keyboard Maestro’s Clipboard Switcher, you can select from a
number of named clipboards, storing information away for later
retrieval. Store the details you are working on and access them by
name again and again.
Using Keyboard Maestro’s Clipboard History Switcher, you can access
past clipboards, so you will never lose your clipboard again. It
also makes it easy to copy and paste multiple items such as username
