Convergent Living (http://www.convergentliving.com), a provider of
control systems, has announced the addition of Apple’s iPhone as yet
another optimal interface for its suite of control applications.
Convergent’s patented control architecture is now accessible from
anywhere via the iPhone using free, off-the-shelf software from
Apple. In-home requirements are a Companion SideKick controller or
the new LED backlit NEO8, 10 or 15 Smartscreens and router port
forwarding.
“We continue to preach the benefits of the user experience and thanks
to iPhone’s ease of navigation, exciting color-saturated graphics and
Companion’s user-consistent Adobe Flash GUIs, we can deliver on the
oft-ignored premise that the user experience is paramount and not the
plethora of gadgets,” says Craig Slawson, Chief Wizard at
Convergent. “Companion smartscreens and now the iPhone deliver
unparalleled ease of use and wide-area-network (WAN) mobility for
accessing and managing all home systems from a single interface or
location. Very cool”.
Convergent Living develops integrated and custom control solutions on
patented IP-networked smartscreens. Since 2002, the solutions have
offered professional integrators around the world the dimensionality
of plug/play ease and now full custom interface/control with Adobe
Flash-animated interface designs. The Companion smartscreens and
controllers are specifically designed to run quiet, cool and fast,
engaging users with networked content, control and entertainment
management on centrally located always-on sentinels. The suite of
elegant NEO in-wall, C15 desktop, Muse handheld, SideKick TV/PC and
iPhone interfaces offer users easy access to simplifying their homes,
offices or light commercial environments.
