Imagine Products has released a new version (6.0) of HD Log for Mac
OS X, featuring support for the new Panasonic AVC-Intra Codec, and
addition of deluxe media card offloading functions. The new automated
secure offloading works any video media including Panasonic P2 and
AVCHD cards, Sony SxS, RED ONE and other digital media cards in a
single application.
HDLog works with P2 formats ranging from DVCPRO HD to DV and now also
supports the new 10-bit AVC-Intra codec. New P2 import option lets
you automatically replace the low resolution bitmap thumbnail
provided by the camera, with a larger, clean JPEG for better
previewing, web posting and printing.
AVC-Intra is Panasonic’s new codec that uses an intra-frame
compression system. It complies with the MPEG-4 AVC/H.264
international standard based on advanced motion-image compression
technology. Panasonic’s AJ-HPX3700/HPX3000/HPX2700/HPX2000/HPX2100
camera-recorders let you record and play back in AVC-Intra 100 or
AVC-Intra 50 mode.
HD Log features a host of P2 clip management functions. In addition
to viewing clip thumbnails, users can instantly play clips up to full
screen, shot mark specific clips, edit a clip’s metadata (support for
multiple languages included) including the text memo field, print,
and export selected clips to Final Cut Pro with complete metadata.
In addition, the new version of HD Log incorporates all of the
secure, verified media card offload functions found in ShotPut Pro.
You can copy any type cards or discs to up to three locations at top
speed. You can select multiple sources to offload simultaneously
(e.g. Panasonic 5-card reader). You can also reformat specific card
types (e.g. P2, AVCHD, SxS (EX cards), RED, etc.).
Imagine Products’ HUD Log for Mac OS X is also a deluxe logging
application for indexing footage from any source. It offers template
editing so you can customize the information and speed data entry
describing video clips. For more information about HD Log, go here:
