Version 2.6.1 of the Mac OS X system optimization utility, Yasu,

Jim Mitchell has released version 2.6.1 of his user friendly Mac OS X
maintenance utility “Yasu” (Yet another system utility) for OS X 10.4
(Tiger) and OS X 10.5 (Leopard) systems.

Designed to be a quick first line of defense for solving OS X related
issues, Yasu was originally developed with System Administrators who
service large groups of workstations in mind, enabling them to
perform a specific group of maintenance tasks quickly within a few
clicks, rather than endlessly typing shell script commands in the
Terminal application.

This latest release for Mac OS X systems 10.4 and greater, including
10.5.7, addresses the following issues and is a recommended update
for all users;

Version 2.6.1:
– Updated cache removal routines for the latest versions of the Apple
Safari web browser. – Updated history removal routines for the latest
versions of the Apple Safari web browser. – Updated system specific
commands for the “Reset launch services” option for a more thorough
reset. – Updated and added log file maintenance routines for better
compatibility with Mac OS X 10.4 (Leopard). – Other security
enhancements and code optimizations for better performance on older
machines.
