Epson announces two new home theater projectors

Epson (http://www.epson.com) has announced two new home theater
projectors — the MovieMate 60 and the PowerLite Home Cinema
705HD. The former will be available in October for US$699; the latter
for around $750.

The Epson MovieMate 60 is the newest addition to Epson’s line of
combo projectors, featuring a projector, CD/DVD player and speakers
all built-in. Just plug into an outlet and watch movies or live TV,
play videogames, display iPod videos or show a photo slideshow — all
up to eight times larger than a 40-inch widescreen TV. With a 60
percent brighter lamp than previous models, Epson MovieMate 60 can be
enjoyed inside or outside, in a dark setting or even a lighted room.

The Epson PowerLite Home Cinema 705HD is designed for movies,
videogames, TV, sporting events, and even photos in 720p high
definition. It features 2,500 lumens of brightness and features a
variety of inputs, including HDMI.
