Pearson releases new Mac programming books on Cocoa and iPhone

Pearson is releasing four new books for Mac programmers including
“Cocoa Design Patterns,” “iPhone for Programmers,” “Sams Teach
Yourself Cocoa Touch Programming in 24 Hours” and “Sams Teach
Yourself iPhone Application Development in 24 Hours.”

“Cocoa Design Patterns” (http://www.informit.com/title/9780321535023)
book explains the object-oriented design patterns found in Apple’s
Cocoa frameworks. The primary goal of this US$89.98 book is to supply
insight into the design and rationale of Cocoa, but with that
insight, you’ll be able to effectively re-use the tried and true
patterns in your own software — even if you aren’t using Cocoa.

“iPhone for Programmers”
(http://www.informit.com/title/9780137058426) uses an app-driven
approach; each new technology is discussed in the context of 14 fully
tested iPhone apps (7700 lines of code), complete with syntax
shading, code walkthroughs and sample outputs. The book costs $53.98.

“Sams Teach Yourself Cocoa Touch Programming in 24 Hours”
(http://www.informit.com/title/9780672331251) teaches readers how to
build mobile applications with Apple’s Cocoa Touch technology for the
iPhone and iPod touch. It’s $35.99.

“Sams Teach Yourself iPhone Application Development in 24 Hours”
(http://www.informit.com/title/9780672330841) is written to help
beginning iPhone and mobile developers gain true mastery. It costs
$34.99.
