TypeStyler released for Mac OS X

Strider Software has debuted TypeStyler (http://www.typestyler.com)
for Mac OS X; it’s an update to the Mac design software. It costs
US$179.95, and a fully functional, 60-day demo is available for
download.

The updated typographical design environment is Universal Binary so
runs natively on both PowerPC and Intel Macs. It works with Mac OS X
10.5 (“Leopard”) and 10.6 (“Snow Leopard”). This latest release of
TypeStyler now includes the tools from PosterMaker Plus for poster
and banner printing and a new 3D Visualizer for package design and
prototyping.

TypeStyler provides access to distortions, path editing, glows, soft
shadows, texture fills, transparency, lighting and much more. Users
can import and export in a variety of formats, including PSD with
layers, PDF, GIF, JPEG, PIG, TIFF, and EPS. TypeStyler works great as
a stand-alone environment, yet also as a great companion too with
illustration and page-layout programs like Adobe Photoshop,
Illustrator, Quark XPress as well as popular video editing and web
design tools, says Dave Stillman, Strider’s director of operations.

Owners of previous versions of TypeStyler can upgrade to the latest
TypeStyler for $99.95. Users who purchased TypeStyler 3 after 2003
should contact Strider directly as their upgrade price is only the
difference between what the paid and could be as low as $10.
