Vers (http://www.versaudio.com) has extended its line of sustainably
built, hand-crafted wood cases for the iPod and iPhone with the
addition of open-front Shellcases that allow full display access.
Combining the natural beauty and strength of walnut, cherry and
bamboo, they’re the most environmentally thoughtful cases available
on the market, says David Laituri, designer and co-founder of Vers.
“The response to our wood case launch was very positive, but many of
our customers wanted full access to their iPhone while in the case.
With the new Shellcase, they’ve got it,” adds Vers co-founder Tim
Trzepacz. “Like the Vers 2X and Vers 1.5R, Vers cases are designed
with the same passion for sustainability; for each tree used in Vers
case production, 100 are re-planted through our partnership with The
Arbor Day Foundation and the U.S. Forestry Service to re-forest
parklands damaged by fire and other natural disasters.”
Vers wood cases for iPhone, iPod touch and iPod classic cases have a
manufacturer’s suggested retail price of US$39.99 and $34.99 for iPod
nano cases. The Vers hand-crafted wood iPod sound system and
accessory brand was founded in 2007.
