Final Cut Studio, Adobe and Avid editors and digital filmmakers from

Francisco SuperMeet (http://supermeet.com/), to be held on Friday,
Feb. 5, 2010 at the UCSF Mission Bay Conference Center in San
Francisco, California.

Free educational workshops will be offered during the day by Canon,
Adobe, Autodesk and Red Giant. Bay Area filmmakers will have a chance
to screen content in the SuperMeet Digital Showcase featuring over 30
software and hardware developers.

Doors open to the “SuperMeet Digital Showcase” at 3:30 pm, featuring
over 30 exhibitors including Avid, Blackmagic Design, Footagehead,
G-Tech, Matrox, Maxon, Noise Industries, Red Giant and others. The
SuperMeet stage show begins at 7 pm and concludes at 11 pm with the
“World Famous Raffle” featuring prizes including the Canon EOS 5D
Mark II HDSLR, AJA KiPro, NLE software, plug-ins and more. The San
Francisco SuperMeet promises to be the single largest Bay Area social
gathering of digital filmmakers, content creators, Final Cut Studio,
Adobe and Avid Gurus and users in all of 2010.

“This is the first time in SuperMeet history that we are offering
free workshops and we have tapped into exciting content and workflows
on HDSLR filmmaking, editing and post-production finishing featuring
Canon, Adobe, Autodesk and Red Giant,” states Daniel Berube,
SuperMeet co-producer and head of the Boston Final Cut Pro User Group
(bosfcpug). “We have always wanted to offer free workshops to our
community and to have these great companies bring top industry talent
to share their knowledge and expertise is a bonus for all of us.”

Canon will focus on the evolving workflow of HDSLR filmmaking, post
production and delivery and show how to get the most out of the
stunning range of Canon video enabled DSLRs like the Canon EOS 5D
Mark II, Canon EOS 7D and Canon EOS-1D Mark IV. Adobe will provide
beginning and advanced users the latest workflow integration between
Final Cut and Creative Suite 4 Production Premium and will provide a
sneak peek at performance gains that the new Adobe Mercury Playback
Engine will deliver.

Autodesk will show off and detail in-depth the editorial, conforming,
color correction and advanced 2D and 3D compositing workflow of their
just announced “Smoke on a Mac.” Red Giant will introduce and detail
the workflow of several new tools and upgrades to their software that
allow for finishing HDSLR and tapeless projects directly within Final
Cut Pro.

“For San Francisco we’ve also added an exciting component to the
SuperMeet Digital Showcase,” says Michael Horton, co-producer, Los
Angeles Final Cut Pro User Group. “Local filmmakers can showcase
their projects in what we call our “Open Screen Theater.” Filmmakers
and digital content creators wanting to get seen will have a a 10
minute chance to do so in an informal, collaborative setting. We want
those who are shooting with HDSLRS and other tapeless workflows to
screen content and interact. Filmmakers, just show up and sign up,
get up and show off. It’s first come, first serve in our “Open Screen
Theater” and Friday, February 5th is your day to get seen.”

The stage show of the San Francisco SuperMeet is considered by its
organizers as “SuperSecret,” a final agenda will not be announced
until approximately three weeks before the event. Complimentary food
(snacks) and cash bars will be available throughout the evening. To
