Joby (http://joby.com/), designer of the Gorillapod flexible camera tripod, introduced new additions to its Gorillamobile line at this year’s Macworld Expo.
The company will showcase its entire suite of products from the Gorillapod, Gorillamobile, and Gorillatorch lines at the Joby booth (#1659, Moscone Convention Center — South Hall). Joby has announced Gorillamobile for iPod touch. It has flexible, wrappable legs that enable the user to mount his mobile device to virtually any surface, allowing positioning capability for movie-viewing, music-listening, photo-taking, and more.
The Gorillamobile for iPod touch has four interchangeable quick-release adapters, including a custom engineered, protective iPod touch case. It weighs 4.4 ounces, is eight inches tall, and will be available by the end of March. Pricing hasn’t been announced.
Also new at the Joby Macworld booth this year is the Gorillatorch flashlight. In a shift from traditional flashlight design, the Gorillatorch features a 65 lumen CREE LED lamp mounted on Joby’s ball-and-socket legs with magnetic feet, enabling the user to illuminate any target, hands-free. The Gorillatorch is now available for US$29.95 in blue, orange, and yellow, in addition to gray.
