Adobe Chief Technical Officer Kevin Lynch told “All Things D” (http://kara.allthingsd.com/20100217/adobes-cto-kevin-lynch-talks-about-apple-insults-flashs-future-and-more/?reflink=ATD_yahoo_ticker) that Mac improvements for Flash are coming. The exec also defended the technology, which Apple CEO Steve Jobs has recently criticized.
The iPad was unveiled without Flash, which is also lacking on the iPod and iPhone. Jobs has said that Flash is buggy and resource intensive and that Adobe is “lazy” when it comes to making improvements. Or not making improvements, in this case.
Lynch told “All Things D” that Adobe was working to improve the performance of Flash on the Mac. He did admit that video renders are more processor intensive on Macs than they are on Windows machines. Lynch also touted the upcoming, and “just terrific” Adobe Creative Suite for the Mac.
Oh yes, he also said he and his team weren’t lazy.
