SONiVOX (http://www.sonivoxmi.com), a virtual instrument manufacturer, has released Grand Piano Virtual Instrument, Eighty Eight. It has a manufacturer’s suggested retail price of US$199.
Eighty Eight is conceived and designed as a virtual embodiment of a Steinway CD 327 grand. It was recorded within the same acoustic confines as the SONiVOX Symphonic Collection. Eighty Eight sports: over 11GB of premium instrument content; 35 piano and pad presets; 52 solo piano presets; 15 adjustable split point multi-instrument combination patches; up to 16 velocity layers per key; onboard EQ, reverb and limiter; a seven-step velocity re-mapper; and more. It has Mac standalone, AU, VST and RTAS compatibility.
