Qoppa Software, which specializes in PDF tools, has updated PDF Studio (http://www.qoppa.com/psindex.html), a PDF editor, to version 6. CJK font support is now available.
CJK is an acronym for Chinese, Japanese, and Korean. The added support to PDF Studio 6 allows users to work with PDF documents that use these character sets, but do n’t embed the fonts in the PDF files. Support for CJK content is crucial to address the Asian market and widens the appeal of PDF Studio as a low-cost alternative to Adobe Acrobat, says Gerald Holmann, president of Qoppa Software.
In addition to CJK fonts, PDF Studio 6 has been integrated with the Acrobat document service. PDF Studio can open, edit and save documents directly from and to Acrobat.com. PDF Studio 6 also includes improvements to its Google Docs integration among other enhancements.
PDF Studio is entirely based on Qoppa Software’s proprietary PDF technology. The software has features such as the ability to edit PDF files, fill forms, review and comment, create digital signatures, assemble documents.
PDF Studio is cross platform software that runs on Windows, Mac OSX and Linux. It’s available in two editions: PDF Studio Standard at US$60 and PDF Studio Pro at $95.
