New iPad stand is a real Joule

Element Case has debuted their latest creation: an luxuary stand just for the iPad, dubbed the Joule (http://www.elementcase.com).

The Joule offers a solid prop-up base for the device. It’s designed to make the iPad easier to use, whether it’s reading recipes in the kitchen, surfing the web in your den, watching movies or giving a presentation at work, says creator Jeff Sasaki.

The Joule’s components consist of a heavyweight, machined solid aluminum base and magnetically attached, adjustable angle tilt foot.  The Joule is available in a polished finish or anodized black. Custom laser engraving with your name, favorite image or company logo is also available.

The Joule’s nesting slot is lined with velvet to hold the iPad gently yet securely in place, says Sasaki. The rear of this slot is contoured to match the curves of the iPad, and the front side provides a fitted notch for the home button.

The magnetically secured tilt foot at the rear of the Joule offers adjustable viewing angles and provides stability while you engage the iPad’s touch screen surface. Rubber pads at the bottom of the Joule are there to offer a firm grip on any surface.

The Joule retails for $129.99, plus shipping and handling. Special promotional discounts for $99 will also be available during this introductory period. Bulk rates are also available for businesses, distributors and retailers.
