FadingRed has introduced Koku 1.0 (http://www.fadingred.com/koku), a personal finance management for the Mac. It lets you track checking, savings, and credit card accounts, and generate beautiful custom reports to analyze your spending and income.

Key features of Koku include the ability to automatically and securely download transactions as they occur from a wide array of financial institutions via Direct Connect. Also, with inbox-like status indicators, you can find and review what’s new. Koku also provides the option to automatically tag transactions as they are downloaded.

Koku also has Smart Tagging, which allows users to categorize transactions with multiple tags free of hierarchy. The software also lets users import from all the standard financial data formats — OFX, QIF, QFX and OFC.

Koku 1.0, available for Mac OS X 10.6 or later. A demo is available for download. Registration (for a limited time) is US$25.
