Rothschild Investment Corp. will be donating a MacBook to each of the 22 graduates of Social Justice High School in Chicago who participated in Roosevelt University’s Upward Bound college preparatory program.

Upward Bound is a federal program managed by Roosevelt University that helps first-generation high school students understand the importance of post secondary education. In celebration of its 100th anniversary in 2008, Rothschild gave the program an Apple Mobile Learning Lab complete with laptop computers, printers, scanners and state-of-the-art educational software.

Established in 1964, Upward Bound provides high school students with a wide range of experiences, from weeklong mini-terms at Roosevelt University to immersion in the college atmosphere through tours of college campuses. Roosevelt University is a private university with 7,300 students studying at campuses in the Chicago Loop and northwest suburban Schaumburg and online.
