Flock has announced a complete redesign of their pioneering product, making it the first and only social web browser built on the Chromium open source platform. Flock is intended for active social media users, and anyone who seeks to better manage the large volume of information and relationships they interact with online each day, according to Shawn Hardin, CEO of Flock.

The dramatically new Flock lets Internet users get more from their browser by allowing them to consume their social media and web content as it occurs, discover the best of the web through their friends, and better manage and nurture their valued relationships by staying connected with anyone at any time while they browse for work or fun, Hardin says. The company also announced that Google’s industry-leading web search is the new default in the Flock browser.

The new Flock browser for Microsoft Windows is accessible now and free to download and use at http://www.flock.com . A Mac version will be available later this summer.
