The Rocket Racing League game is based on the real-world Rocket Racing League (RRL) where Top Gun pilots maneuver rocket-powered aircraft through a virtual 3D Raceway-In-The-Sky. In the game, players take control of a fully customizable Rocket Racer aircraft and pilot their way through floating 3D obstacle courses set in visually stunning environments.
Virtual Programming has set a standard $0.99 price for all of its games at Apple’s App Store. They include Pipe Mania, an updated version of the action puzzle game that debuted in 1989.

Infinity Softworks has introduced powerOne Calculator Lite Edition for the iPad, iPhone and iPod touch.The app combines a calculator and simple spreadsheets to present calculations. The free powerOne Calculator Lite Edition includes a standard and RPN calculator, five sample templates, as well as the ability to add on one additional template. The $5.99 full version includes almost 60 templates, plus the ability to add on hundreds more.
VideoUpLink is a new $1.99 app that takes videos from your iPhone 3GS or iPhone 4 library and batch uploads them to any FTP site. Uploading to Facebook or MySpace is supported, with location information added. You can attach more than one video to an email. Responding to an invitation by United States Golf Association handicap system, myGolfstats allows users to instantly compute and post their Official USGA Handicap on the USGA web site. With myGolfstats you can record all your key stats. It takes about five seconds per hole and stores about 100 rounds so you can track results over time.
Ludia and Classic Media have released Where’s Waldo? The Fantastic Journey for the iPad. The $4.99 game features hi-def graphics and multi-touch game play exclusive to the iPad, including the new Party Mode that enables two players to compete on the same device.
Beanheads Consulting has announced Sort Shots — iPad Edition 1.2, an $0.99 app with photo sequencing functionality. Sort Shots allows users to create a custom order of photos in a slideshow. Sequencing options include ratings of images, file name, size of the image or video file, as well as date imported from iTunes Folders. Additionally, Slideshows can be combined with tags and saved for fast retrieval.
Cloudburst Research has released AutoStitch 3.0, an update of the $2.99 app that brings improvements in panoramic photography to the iPhone. AutoStitch creates high-resolution images of up to 20 megapixels using the iPhone’s own camera, and allows iPhone users to create poster-quality images. Version 3.0 includes sharper images, new social networking features, a built-in video tutorial, and even a new icon.
App4touch has introduced SecretBox 2.1 for the iPhone and iPad, a $9.99 application that allows you to manage your secrets: credit card details, SSN numbers, software licenses, e-mail account details and passwords. The mobile version can sync data with the Mac version. Version 2.1 features a new user interface.
Daniel Wetzel has unveiled Paper Pile 1.3 for the iPad. The $2.99 app creates customized digital newspapers containing only the content the user wants to read. It uses news feed subscriptions to compose the user’s personal newspaper. Version 1.3 includes themes, Instapaper support and enhanced text presentation.
Mobilize Faith is offering Bible Memory 1.2, a free update to its $5.99 Bible study and verse memorization app for iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad devices. It’s designed to help users have fun and stay engaged while memorizing Bible scripture. Version 1.2 allows users to add, edit, and categorize an unlimited number of Bible verses in any translation and in any language.
