Apple’s senior antenna expert voiced concern to CEO Steve Jobs in the early design phase of the iPhone 4 that the antenna design could lead to dropped calls, reports “Bloomberg” (http://macosg.me/2/jg), quoting a “person familiar with the matter.”
Last year, Ruben Caballero, a senior engineer and antenna expert, informed Apple’s management the device’s design may hurt reception, the article says. A carrier partner also raised concerns about the antenna before the device’s June 24 release, “Bloomberg” adds, quoting “another person familiar with the situation.”
Apple is holding a press event tomorrow at at its Cupertino, California, headquarters. It’s expected the company will address the reported antenna/reception problems with the iPhone 4.
