MailForge for Mac OS X updated to version 2.0.4

Infinity Data Systems has updated MailForge (http://www.infinitydatasystems.com/mailforge/), the Eudora style email client formerly known as Odysseus, to version 2.0.4. The send button defaults to “Queue” if preferences are set to queue emails by default.

Built from the ground up for Mac OS X and Windows, MailForge is designed to be a successor to the Eudora email client, providing users with a familiar look and feel, while at the same time adding features and abilities to further enhance the user experience. Harnessing the power of SQLite, MailForge offers significant performance advantages, ranging from the ability to have a virtually unlimited number of emails in a single mailbox, to search capabilities that offer near instantaneous results, according to the folks at Infinity Data Systems. Even routine tasks, such as moving tens of thousands of emails from one mailbox to another, takes only seconds, they add.

Due to the success of the MailForge Project, as well as its growing user base, IDS now offers all MailForge users with free telephone support. This applies to both registered users, as well as those interested in migrating to MailForge. Phone support (as well as Skype support) is available Monday-Thursday, 9-5 (Eastern Time). Also, users who purchase 1.0 (including all beta preregistration licenses) will automatically receive a free upgrade to 2.0 when it comes out next year.

Version 2.0.4 is a free upgrade for all registered users of MailForge, including those who pre-registered prior to the release of 1.0. For new users, MailForge is priced at US$19.95, with volume discounts available. MailForge requires Mac OS X 10.5 and higher.
