Yum update cooks up redesigned interface

Dare to be Creative has updated Yum, a recipe manager for Mac OS X 10.5 (“Leopard”), to version 4. The user interface was redesigned from the ground up by Apple Design Award winner Dietmar Kerschner.

The new interface features a corkboard to browse recipes by photo, the ability to search recipes with simple text or advanced filters, and an option to view recipes in full screen.

Yum is a recipe and cook book manager that allows users to organize recipes into categories, assign ratings, print with custom layouts and create shopping lists from a recipe’s ingredients. Yum is Universal Binary so runs natively on both PowerPC and Intel Macs.

It’s US$29; a demo is available at the Yum web site (http://yum-mac.com/). Version 3.2 is a free update to registered users.
