As many Mac User Groups in the northern hemisphere return from summer vacation, “The MUG Event Calendar” starts to fill up with presenters and presentations.
Apple Senior Systems Engineer Dave Marra will make two MUG stops on his perpetual user group tour: one in Connecticut and the other in Pennsylvania. Greg Scown of Smile Software will show off the company’s latest and greatest products at a California group, and Mac User Groups every where will be talking about last week’s Apple announcements about new iPods, a new Apple TV, a new version of iTunes, and more. Other topics that will be up for discussion include Google Docs, document scanning and archiving, DropBox, Mac freeware, video conferencing, iMovie, Blurb Booksmart and much more.
“The MUG Event Calendar” can be found at The MUG Center (http://www.mugcenter.com), an online resource for Mac User Groups. MUGs are good places for making new friends in the Mac community, imProving your computing skills, finding solutions to technical Problems, and perhaps locating a good deal on used hardware. For more info on MUGs, and to find the location of the one nearest you, go to Apple’s MUG page (http://www.apple.com/usergroups/).
