Warner Music Group exec departs for Apple

Elliott Peters, Warner Music Group’s senior VP and head of digital legal affairs is leaving the company next month for a job at Apple, reports “Billboard” (http://www.billboard.biz/bbbiz/content_display/industry/e3i8a210b25e0747b72af6cbdc4c731e6d5).

According to an internal memo obtained by the music industry publication, Peters is taking on the role of corporate attorney director for iTunes Europe and Internet services, based in Luxembourg, where he will manage the European legal team for iTunes and MobileMe services. He’s been with WMG since 2000. Ron Wilcox, WMG’s executive counsel for business affairs and strategic and digital initiatives will oversee the label’s digital legal affairs team upon Peters’ departure.
