Excel Software (http://www.excelsoftware.com) has announced QLRT Xcode 1.0 for Xcode developers to protect Mac OS X software. QLRT Xcode is a static library implementation of the QuickLicense runtime software for protection, activation and license management.
Xcode programmers can protect their software from piracy and increase revenue by supporting a variety of license types, activation processes and advanced licensing features. QLRT Xcode is used in conjunction with QuickLicense. The developer configures all aspects of the software license with QuickLicense and builds a tiny encrypted Ticket file.
That Ticket file is bound to an application when the QLRT library is dropped into the source code and linked into the application. By focusing on value added customer solutions rather than
internal protection, activation and licensing features, the vendor gains programming productivity and deployment flexibility, according to the folks at Excel Software.
QLRT Xcode is the newest member of the QuickLicense family of software protection and licensing solutions for Mac OS X and Windows software that includes QuickLicense, QuickLicense Server, LicenseSupport, WebActivation and the Safe Activation Service. For example, a protected application built with QLRT Xcode can run on client computers within a customer network controlled by a floating license server generated with the QuickLicense Server product.
A single user license of QLRT Xcode 1.0 at US$495 includes royalty-free runtime distribution rights for any number of protected products or licenses. The package includes a PDF user guide and test application with source code.
