Feral Interactive says LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga will ship to stores on Friday, Nov. 12, bringing the videogame franchise to the Mac for the very first time.
Developed by TT Games and LucasArts, LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga uses LEGO bricks to recreate the scenes, characters and settings from all six Star Wars movies in a universe packed with 36 levels of action and humor. As characters such as Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, C-3PO and R2-D2, players live out the scenes from the movies — while building objects out of LEGO bricks and knocking them down, and collecting LEGO studs to unlock new characters and content. The game will also feature enhanced multiplayer co-op abilities that allow a second player to join the fun, dropping in at any time to help the first player complete missions or master tricky tasks.
The game will retail in North America for US$39.95. It’ll be available through retailers and online download services. It’s currently available to pre-order from Feral’s online store (http://www.feralinteractive.com/?section=buy&game=legostarwarssaga), and there is also a mini-site dedicated to the game (http://www.feralinteractive.com/legostarwarssaga).
Minimum system requirements call for a 1.8GHz Intel Mac with at least 1GB of RAM, an 128MB or better graphics card, DVD drive, and Mac OS X 10.5.8 or later. The Intel GMA series cards aren’t supported.
