Altec Lansing releases Octive Stage for the iPad, other iOS devices

Altec Lansing (http://www.alteclansing.com) has introduced the US$149.95 Octiv Stage docking speaker system for the iPad, iPhone and iPod. Designed to y enhance center channel voicing for dialogue as well as stereo audio while playing and charging the device, it’s is the first product from Altec Lansing designed to support the iPad.

The Octiv Stage allows users to dock and charge their iPad with the Apple 30-pin connector, while a 3.5mm auxiliary jack offers support for additional devices. Altec Lansing’s Audio Alignment technology provides distinctive center channel voicing and enhanced stereo delivery for distortion-free performance even at full volume, says Steve Schlangen, Altec Lansing product manager.

What’s more, the Octiv Stage features a rotating connection arm that allows the iPad to be viewed in both portrait and landscape positions. It offers a tilt screen for multiple viewing angles and support while typing on the iPad. For added convenience, a full featured, wireless remote provides navigation from across the room.
