Here are the latest iPhone/iPod touch/iPod/iPad apps announced. You can find ’em at the Apple App Store (http://www.itunes.com/appstore/).

Reports say the BBC will launch the long-awaited global version of its iPlayer TV catch-up service on a subscription-only basis, and initially only on iPad.

EA Mobile has unleashed Rock Band Reloaded. The iPad-exclusive HD version ($9,99) and the version for iPhone and iPod touch ($4.99) offers players an initial setlist of songs from artists including Nirvana, Billy Idol, No Doubt, Nine Inch Nails and Vampire Weekend. More than 20 songs will be available today with new tracks launching throughout the holidays. Plus, for the first time, ROCK BAND Reloaded players now have a “5th Way to Play” by singing directly into their iPhone, iPod touch and iPad utilizing new vocal recognition features.

Mindwarm has announced AddTo Athens 1.0 for the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. The US$0.99 app lets you create your own travel guide from your photos and notes. You can create your own map with the highlights you want, photo album and travel diary. At any time you can add a note or photo to your album. If you have allowed location, then your current location will be added to that note and photo.

Big Bad Brush has released Kung Fu Santa 1.0 for the iPhone, iPod touch and iPad. In the $0.99 game, evil elves have stolen all of Kung Fu Santa’s presents and plans to sell them all for money, and he must stop them.

Chuck Duquette has introduced SpeechTimes 1.0 for the iPad. The $1.99 presentation timer allows interface customization and management of one or multiple speakers. SpeechTime is designed to make easy to organize group speaking events, cue speakers to wrap up their talk, and will save speech times chronologically in its database.

Candywriter has unveiled Word Solitaire: Holiday 1.0, their “holiday” limited edition puzzle version for the iPhone and iPod touch. The $0.99 app is a mash-up of traditional solitaire and word creation where, instead of playing cards, each card represents a letter of the alphabet. In Holiday, each level requires the user to find and construct specific holiday-themed words and phrases. Once all provided letters have been arranged into words, the user may advance to the next level.

24x7digital has announced Smiley Sight Words 1.4, an update of the educational flash-card app for iPhone. It’s a $0.99 learning tool containing over 1,500 high-frequency sight words compiled from many sources including Dolch, Fry, and UK word lists. Students may tap the sight word to hear professionally recorded American-English pronunciations, swipe flash-cards to navigate the stack of words, and shake their iPhone to shuffle the flash-cards.

Qwizzly has debuted Qbox 1.0, the iPad version of its $3.99 word puzzle game. This puzzle invites players to solve over 1,500 different quotes of wisdom spanning over three eras of time and offering hours of game play. With quotes from everyone from Gandhi and Einstein to Confucius and Bierce, adults and children alike will solve quote puzzles.

Social Jitney is offering Say No to Police. The $9.99 app was created for criminal law expert Ralph Behr, ESQ. Say No to Police is designed as a quick reference encyclopedia of the most useful information to help users understand the legal nuances inherent within the most common types of law enforcement encounters. In-app chapters include topics such as drug arrests, police searches, how bail works, the importance of legal discovery, legal defenses, and many others.

Launching Pad Games has produced Scarlett and the Spark of Life, the debut episode of their new $2.99 game for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch devices. It’s an adventure starring a gutsy, crowbar-wielding princess. The first of four planned episodes, Scarlett and the Spark of Life introduces players to Scarlett’s plight while hinting at the larger adventure that awaits.

Algoriddim has announced its djay for iPad app. The $19.99 takes advantage of the enhanced audio capabilities of iOS 4.2 and leverages the Apple tablet’s Multi Touch interface to bring users ever closer to the experience of mixing on real turntables.

Obstetrician Toni Morrissey, MD, has delivered Baby Birthday 1.0 for iOS devices. The $1.99 app predicts the baby’s delivery date based on the mother’s medical history, surgical history, logistics, and even the small effect of large changes in the barometric pressure. Instead of a due date based only on a 40-week pregnancy length, Baby Birthday provides an expected delivery date tailored to the mother’s individual circumstances.

Ex-management consultant Johnny Wong and ex-investment banker Ken Ihara have teamed up to create an iPhone app for getting through long meetings. Their creation is a modern version of Buzzword Bingo — a favorite game of junior executives that has been played on paper for years. There are two versions of Team BS Bingo: the Corporate Edition that is available on iTunes for free for a limited time and the Investment Banking edition that sells on iTunes for $49.

Freeverse has rolled out We Bowl for the iPhone, now available for free at the Apple App Store. From the makers of Coin Push Frenzy and Flick Fishing Free, We Bowl is lets you create your own custom avatar and hit the lanes to bowl with your friends or play solo in pursuit of the perfect game. Flick your finger to roll, and swipe to give your ball a spin.  

Intellegentia Tecnologia has released iPerformanceCoach 1.1 for the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. The $0.99 logs and measures how much time the user is actually working and how much time they are wasting on distractions.

Developer Justin Hackett has introduced Learn To Write 3.0 for the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. Aimed at young children just learning how to write, the $1.99 app uses an animated ball to show the proper strokes for each letter. Writing is accomplished by essentially finger-painting, following the ball as a tutor. Children can also draw freehand and even test their knowledge with an interactive guessing game.

Prodigy Co. has unveiled Fit for Rhythm Unlocked 1.0.2 for iPhone, iPod touch and iPad users. The $2.99 app offers users 80 different stretch, balance, aerobic and muscle building exercises, along with support.

Sports Data Systems has rolled out myGolfstats 2.0 for iPhone, iPod touch and iPad users. This is an update for the $2.99 application, which offers the same golf scoring features that the pros use, along with the opportunity for users to claim a USGA Handicap. The 2.0 release includes enhancements such as goal setting, club distance, a place to note pro tips, the ability to view the scores of a player’s group members and to share scores on Facebook and Twitter.

Pixmap Brothers has announced Bubble Touch ! 1.1, an $1.99 action game for iPhone and iPod touch. Test your reflexes by squeezing the bubbles on the screen. Play through five different planets, and complete 45 different levels, catching bonuses and avoiding malus on screen. Game Center support enables players to share with friends high scores and to compete against each other on six different leaderboards. It is also provides 16 different achievements to unlock.

Popular Science has published Popular Science+, an update to their iPad edition with the newly released December issue, featuring the annual “Best of What’s New” awards. Popular Science+ adds a long list of iPad-only features, like video, audio, photo galleries and more. Highlights include PopSci’s 23rd annual guide to the 100 greatest technological achievements of the year across 11 categories, including Green, Automotive, Health, Aviation & Space, Home Technology and much more.

Playrix Entertainment has released The Rise of Atlantis HD 1.0.1, its second internal iPad port of their flagship puzzler. In $4.99 game, players’ mission is to bring the legendary continent of Atlantis back to the surface and restore it to its might. The game will be available in full and lite versions with the former at a discounted price for a limited time.

Readdle has introduced ReaddleDocs for iPad 1.7, the latest version of its $4.99 all-in-one document reader. The latest update adds two-way sync with Dropbox, iDisk and other cloud storages, printing via AirPrint and background file transfers on iOS 4.2.
