Cool Bear Studios has announced Cosmic Top 1.0, its first application for iOS devices. Like a virtual toy, the US$1.99 app is an audiovisual physics-based simulation of a spinning, wobbling, and sometimes morphing top. The top can take on unlimited shapes and sounds which appear to glow and hum from within the iPad, iPhone, or iPod touch. The player has full control of the top and can experience it from all angles in 3D simply by moving the device around in real space.

Hollingtech Software has released SpectaRuler 1.0 for iPhone and iPod touch devices. By using the shoe size of the user as a frame of reference for all measurements, the $2.99 app can measure the size of objects and determine the distance to those objects. SpectaRuler can measure upright objects, such as trees, walls, windows, and picture frames; for example, from left, right, above, and below, as well as the distance to those objects.

Nevosoft has introduced a sequel to My Kingdom for the Princess for the iPad. This $4.99 strategy game features 60 levels on five different islands, each of the five locations consist of 10 regular level. My Kingdom for the Princess II is easy for beginners to progress, but highly challenging to master, offering unusual power-ups and different landscapes and much more.

Nate Games has unleashed Cheese & Mouse 1.0 for the iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. Blending numerous classic arcade gaming elements, the $0.99 app tasks users with banishing clever mice from a block of cheese as quickly as possible. The game supports Apple’s Game Center technology.

AFK Studio has debuted The Funnies 1.0 for the iPad. With the $4.99 app, you can read and share over 390 comic strips and editorial cartoons on the web.
