CES: Cirago launches new network storage product

At this week’s Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, Cirago International (http://www.cirago.com/) — a manufacturer of multimedia centers, storage and wireless solutions –unveiled its new Cirago Link+ (NUS2000) USB Network Storage Link that delivers performance to access up to four USB-networked devices quickly and easily from anywhere — even while on the go.

The Link+ is designed for users who want to tap into their document and media library while on the go, with smartphone access that makes it easy to view and share files from anywhere, according to Tenny Sin, executive vice president at Cirago. The compact device, set to debut in second quarter 2011 and retail for under $100, includes all the functionality of the company’s NUS1000, with added NTFS write support, remote access capability and gigabit Ethernet connectivity, delivering the highest speed available on the market for Ethernet devices.

Featuring four USB 2.0 ports, each supporting up to 2 TB drive capacity, the Cirago Link+ adds up to 8TB of data storage to any network. Configurable for up to 32 user accounts, the device provides secure password access to specific drives and/or folders as needed. Compatible with any wireless router for cordless access, the device even includes built-in iTunes, BitTorrent and media server capabilities that allow users to create and access an entire digital media library from any networked device. And, with new remote access, your personal library is available from anywhere at any time via any iPhone, iPod touch, iPad, Android or BlackBerry.
