AnyBizSoft has announced PDF Reader for iPad. The free app can help users read and manage PDF eBooks on the Apple tablet.

Dan Tullis has released Word Mend 1.0 for the iPhone and iPod touch. It’s an US$0.99 word puzzle/jumble game designed for gamers of all ages. There are over 11,000 jumbled words that you can rearrange in as little as one second to several minutes, depending on the difficulty of the word and the sharpness of your brain.

Random Ideas has introduced Wasabi 1.0 for iOS devices. It’s a $4.99 to-do list app for that includes over-the-air sync, location aware task notifications, as well as the ability to add projects, tasks, and locations to your iOS home screen. You can capture new to-dos from virtually any screen in the app, organize them by project, goal, or location and prioritize your to-dos by dragging them and sorting them.

Softmatic has unveiled Cosmic 1.0 for the iPhone and iPad. The $4.99 app bundles a real-time planetarium, and comprehensive sky atlas and star chart printing. It will not only display over 100,000 stars with detailed background info, Cosmic also shows thousands of deep sky objects and our solar system bodies.

Michael L. Farrell has debuted Verto Studio 3D 1.0 for iPad, a modeling app that supports import/export of OBJ files, allowing users to download thousands of different wire mesh models or create their own. Verto Studio 3D enables 3D modeling, dynamic lighting, and texture mapping using the iPad’s touch interface. The app is normally $7.99, but is being offered for $3 for a limited time.

288 Vroom has published “Sympathy For The Devil,” the first chapters of its original book on the iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad. Presented as a series, “Sympathy For The Devil” is a story about a fallen angel who decides it’s time to find his way home. Every few weeks more chapters will be released until the end of the book. The first seven chapters of “Sympathy For The Devil” are free. The full version is currently only $0.99 and available worldwide.

Staytoooned has developed iTouchiLearn Numbers 1.0, an $1.99 educational game for the iPad. It sports interactive animated games and music. Patterned activity sequences help LD kids. Verbal directions and modeling aid students with speech difficulties.

Joshua Demorik has created iTip Jar, a financial application created for the iPhone and iPod touch. Packaged within the $0.99 app is four tools: Tip Calculator, Contact Manager, Expense Reporting and an Etiquette Guide.

Zendesk (http://www.zendesk.com), a web-based help desk software provider, has presented Zendesk for iPad, bringing all the functionality of the Zendesk agent workflow to the Apple tablet. With Zendesk for iPad, customer support agents can easily view, update, and manage  their mobile help desk on the go.  

GameVibe Entertainment has unleashed Monkey Dash Deluxe HD 1.0 for iPad. Developed as an all out arcade experience for the mobile arena, players race against the clock to complete missions, decimate enemies, and collect points and power-ups as they progress further and further into the depths of the $2.99 game.

Nextreaming (http://www.nextreaming.com/), a provider of multimedia software for handsets, has announced the commercial availability of the latest NexPlayer software development kit for iOS and Android devices. It now supports adaptive streaming according to the Smooth Streaming standard.

Revin Inc and WineSpace have announced Golf SwingCheck Lite 1.5.1, a free version of their swing accuracy app for iPhone and iPod touch. Golf SwingCheck enables you to check your golf swing and allows you to work out your check points like address, take back, swing top, impact, on-plane swing and more. In the free version, users can save one video, with no auto-timer.

CFI Tools has updated their CFI Tools Preflight WX+ preflighting app for iPad to version 1.11. The $34.99 app is used by pilots to acquire all available information about the flight, including weight and balance of the aircraft, takeoff and landing distances, weather and regulatory changes.

3Dgrafix has released an update for Stoned 3D for iOS. Stoned 3D 1.0.4 is a casual game ($0.99) in which your task is to catch as many falling blocks as possible and to hit the appearing dinosaurs for a good bunch of extra points. You can also upload your scores to OpenFeint to see your position in a worldwide ranking.

Nagaraja Rivers has updated Reading Thai, their Thai alphabet app for iOS devices, to version 1.2. Offering a complete introduction to the Thai script, the $4.99 app covers not only the Thai alphabet, but also the complex rules of word formation. It covers consonants, vowels, numbers, tone marks, punctuation marks, tone rules, letter combination rules, and multi-syllable words. Each word example includes the Thai script, a phonetic transcription, and audio by a native Thai speaker.

Outside Ventures has introduced Fishing Trip Organizer 1.2, an update of their $4.99 fishing trip planner for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch devices. Designed for fishing enthusiasts of all ages and ability, it’s designed to help you plan the perfect trip, invite your friends, log your catches and memories, and leave with your bragging rights firmly intact. The Fishing Trip Organizer now features detailed weather data, as well as additional options for managing your data, and more.

TicBits will add a new character to iAssociate 2, The Owl, is set to make his debut in the next update, released in time for Valentine’s Day. iAssociate 2 is a free word association game, where players have to figure out which words or phrases are associated to each other. At the same time, fans of the game will also be rewarded with a free new level created specifically for Valentine’s Day.

Good.iWare has updated GoodReader for iPad to version 3.3.0. It’s a $2.99 document reader for viewing and navigating large PDF and text documents. Changes made to documents in GoodReader will instantly be available for others to access on the remote server with a tap of the Sync button. New features in version 3.3.0 are the ability to download entire folders from remote servers, rather than only individual files, and support for SugarSync.

Hunter Research and Technology has rolled out Theodolite 2.3 for the iPhone and iPod touch. This multi-function augmented reality viewfinder app serves as a compass, GPS, map, zoom camera, rangefinder, and two-axis inclinometer. Theodolite Free is available for free. The mid-level Theodolite Basic costs $1.99, and the full-featured Theodolite Pro is $3.99.

Meritum Soft has updated Reiner Knizia’s Yoku-Gami, the puzzle game for iOS devices, to version 1.1. In the $1.99 game players select combinations of adjacent numbers in a grid. The goal is to highlight two or more numbers such that the highest number in the group equals the sum total of all the other numbers. Yoku-Gami offers three playing modes and countless hours of gameplay.

Anywise Enterprise has unveiled The Matrix 1.1, an update of the video wall app for the iPad. The $4.99 app allows you to create animations using your custom text and images and play that animation across any number of iPads in any rectangular configuration as if they were all one large screen. After layering your custom text or images in an animation, you can set it to motion and add several effects such as fading, growing/shrinking, flipping, rotating, pulsating, and even snowing.
 
The new version (1.0.5) of ArtRage for iPad 1.0.5 is now available. The $6.99 app lets you become a mobile digital artist on your iPad, providing the experience of actually “painting” digitally on an iPad canvas with oil paints that smear and blend, and watercolors that flow together to create soft, wet gradations, just as they would in a traditional art studio. In version 1.0.5, the canvas zoom and pan speed has been improved, a save prompt now pops up on the toolbox every 10 minutes for quick saving, there are low memory alerts and a new button brings the toolbar up any time you need it for access.
