Deep Prose Software (http://www.deepprose.com) has released Booxter 2.7 for Mac OS X. With Booxter users can create multiple libraries and smart lists to organize books, music, movies and comic books.
Version 2.7 improves on the free companion iPhone app, available from the Apple App Store. Customers can now scan barcodes and have them sent directly into Booxter, wirelessly. If you have an iPhone or iPod touch, you now have a scanner. Other improvements include adding Amazon Italy as a search site for books, music and movies, improving online searches, and enhancing the user interface.
Booxter supports both handheld and wireless barcode scanners and iSight video cameras to add large numbers of items to a collection. It requires Mac OS 10.4 or later. A downloadable demo version has a limit of 30 items for each library.
The full version costs US$29.99; there’s a free version with a limit of 30 items for each library. Version 2.7 is a free update for registered users of version 2.x. Booxter is Universal Binary so runs natively on both PowerPC and Intel Macs.
