Internet Design Zone has announced Addition & Subtraction For Kids 1.0, a free educational game app for the iPhone and iPod touch. Suitable for kids in grades 1 and 2, Addition & Subtraction For Kids is designed to help little kids perfect their addition and subtraction skills. The app has a colorful underwater theme with lots of attractive fishes to keep the kids hooked. For each addition and subtraction question, a number of fish are shown on screen which the child has to count and answer.

Panorama Concepts has released Soundbox Deluxe 1.0, an US$0.99 sound effects app for for the iPhone, iPod, iPad touch. It includes a collection of sounds in four different categories, including animals, sports, transportation and weapons. With Soundbox Deluxe, users can create a scene based on the collection of sounds available.

Panorama Concepts has introduced Rotary Ring 1.0, a $0.99 dialer app for the iPhone. It’s a combination of “rotary phone designs and the nostalgic memories of the 1950s-1960s.” Rotary Ring features eight retro-stylish themes to ensure authentic dial sound effects.

Cablevision Systems has launched the free Optimum App for iPad, which allows its cable television customers to experience iO TV digital cable — including access to hundreds of channels and video on demand (VOD) — on an iPad in the home. The application delivers the full cable television experience to the tablet device, and allows the iPad to function as a television.

GE Healthcare and AirStrip Technologies has rolled out a free, secure mobile app empowering clinicians with access to precise, near real-time cardiac information. Data from the GE Healthcare MUSE Cardiology Information System is now available on iPhones and iPads, via AirStrip Cardiology. This enables a continuous flow of electrocardiograph (ECG) data and interactive historical data access, helping mobile clinicians make more informed care decisions.

Ducktv has debuted babyLOG 1.0 for iOS, a free baby journal designed to be a practical companion for the heavy multitasking that is generally recognized as motherhood. The app lets moms log their baby’s physical development from conception to toddler age, with week-by-week health tips. babyLOG is optimized for full one-hand operation.

Before Dawn Solutions has created WikiNotePad, a linked-page note taking application for the iPad. The $0.99 app utilizes a subset of the Creole markdown language to make it easy for users to add notes that contain rich text. The application contains features such as page tagging, tree view, and full text search. Notes can be exported and sent via mail.

PBS Kids is presenting the $2.99 app, Super Why Paint!, for the iPhone, iPod touch and iPad. It’s based on Super Why, preschool series that helps kids build critical literacy skills. The new app includes 48 coloring pages featuring Super Why characters.

GoodieWorld — a developer of educational applications for pre-schoolers — says its children’s $4.99 educational app GoodieWords is now generally available in the iTunes store for the iPhone, iPod touch and iPad. The company has also added a new 15-word bundled version in addition to the original GoodieWordsFree three-word pack.

Aquilent, a provider of web-based solutions shaping the next generation of technology for the federal government, has developed a “Find a Health Center” iPhone app, and a web version for any smartphone, for The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), an agency of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. The free apps give consumers the ability to research and locate HRSA-funded health centers nationwide.

Typhuun has created System Scope 1.0, a $4.99 network and server monitoring tool for the iPad. The app provides an interface to monitor any IP network device and shows the status using color coded LEDs, allowing network and server administrators single touch device status updates. In addition, the app’s troubleshooting panel provides configurable parameters to do advanced network troubleshooting to isolate issues.

SKH Apps is offering iTextFast 1.0 for the iPhone and iPod touch.The $0.99 app allows users to find out how fast they can text popular acronym’s and phrases along with the world record paragraph used by Guinness Book of World Records to test texting speed. Users will get to see how fast they can text words and phrases like:omg, ttyl, im omw home, the alphabet and more.

Ken Tidwell has published “D300 DSLR v2.2 for iOS,” another in his series of Min-U Guides to Nikon DSLRs. The $5.99 app provides ccess to information by allowing the user to “drill down” through a topic, just like using the camera menus. The app also includes a list of D300 Quick specs, a troubleshooting checklist, error messages, and more.

Retired Astronaut Collective has announced Squabble 1.0 a free word game for iOS devices. This online multiplayer word game takes advantage of the networking capabilities of iPhone, iPod, and iPad devices. Users may play online with Facebook friends or with a random opponent.

Fabulapps has released Chop Booth 1.0 for iOS. It’s a free skill game that involves throwing axes at the player’s friends while they wear one of several amusing bodies.  Users take a picture of their friends through the game app, which then places the faces on a body of the player’s choice. Players can unlock hilarious new bodies for their friends in the game by scoring points.

Tal Shumski has updated Keyboard for iOS devices to version 2. The $0.99 app provides a full screen keyboard with double sized buttons to facilitate sending text messages and other communications. Users can adjust the level of the keyboard’s transparency, text color, font size and button color to accommodate a variety of personal preferences. It features an ABC and numeric layout, complete with common punctuation marks on the main keyboard.

Mother Tucker has announced Speed PRO 2.0, an update to their digital GPS speedometer for iOS. It’s a $0.99 GPS-based speedometer that gives users a digital view of their current speed, average speed, top speed, distance traveled and elapsed time and allows them to save their routes. Speed PRO allows users to share speedometer images with friends as well as customize the colors of the interface. Version 2.0 introduces saved routes with breadcrumb trails.

Matthew Norris Distribution has updated its Chicken Control game for the iPhone and iPod touch to version 1.1. In the $0.99 app, players must herd chickens by drawing a line of chicken food from in front of the chicken to guide them to the nest. As you herd more and more chickens to the nest you will acquire ribbons to show your chicken herding prowess. Improvements in the 1.1 release include higher quality graphics, new awards, pause/play control and updated fonts.

Corporate Smalltalk Consulting has released PDF 1.6.7 for iOS, an update to their $3.99 document viewer app that allows the user to view both oversize and large multi-page PDF documents. The app employs proprietary Can Opener technology to convert and pre-render large documents for smooth scrolling and zooming. In addition to PDF files of thousands of pages, PDF 1.6.7 can handle page sizes of 44 x 44 inches. The app includes Dropbox connectivity and can display PDFs stored locally.

Iber4 has updated Pirbot, its puzzle game for the iPad, to version 1.1. To play the $0.99 app, you must build a path between the sword and the pirate treasure. The difficulty and variety of pieces gradually increase. Players must pass several levels to discover the Pirbot’s wonderful worlds. Pirbot features multiple levels with OpenFeint, Twitter and Facebook integration.

James Hollender has launched iCarbs 2.0, for iOS. The $1.99 allows users to find out how many carbohydrates are in over 1,100 different food servings, critical information especially for diabetics who need to restrict their intake of carbohydrates. This app is the second in a series of eight nutrient apps based on the USDA National Nutrient Database for Standard Reference, all of which now feature saving information on nutrient intake.

Hoiio has updated Hoiio Chat app, a free mobile app that enables free and instant group messaging across iPhones and Androids, to version 1.0.8.

dBelement has announced HiFutureSelf 1.5.5 for iOS. The free app allows you to send messages to your future self. Version 1.5.5 adds a social layer to your future messages. You can now share messages over e-mail, SMS, Facebook, and Twitter within the HiFutureSelf app. The update also adds six custom ringtones to your messages.

Escape Velocity Apps has updated Audiolio — an audio bookmarking, recording and note-taking app for iPad — to version 1.5. The $2.99 app is designed for annotating school lectures, interviews, podcasts, audio books, and more. You can bookmark locations in all of your audio, and associate notes and images with the bookmarks you create. You can use audio you record in the app itself or select items from your iPod library. And now, you can share your bookmarks with Dropbox.

MacPhun has released Silent Film Director 2.0 for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. The app — available for $0.99 for a limited time — makes your videos look like silent films from Charlie Chaplin times, retro music clips from the days of Elvis Presley and Marilyn Monroe or something completely different. Users can choose video effects, customize quality and speed of video, add soundtracks, title cards, special transitions, mix videos with photos and more.

Hobbyist Software has updated Off Remote — an iOS app that gives users remote control over the power states of Macs or PCs — to version 3.0. With the $2.99 app, users can turn off, log off, lock, sleep and restart their computers remotely. Version 3.0 adds a timer that can trigger “off” to automatically activate up to 24 hours in the future.

MochiBits has launched SwipeTapTap 1.2.07, an update to their $0.99 gesture game for iOS. Players must quickly kill orbs with nine simple finger movements. STT has four game modes: Classic, Memory, Speed and Endurance. Version 1.2.07 features the ability to play your own iPod music and a new insane Classic level for the hardcore STT players.

BadOnlineDates has updated BadDates for the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch to version 1.7. The free app allows users to share their dating horror stories on the go, now even in real-time.

GbR has rolled out Glyndex 2.1 for iPhone, iPod touch and iPad users. The $3.99 app lets users determine the glycemic index and glycemic load of more than 750 food items, each of which can be found with a simple search. Users are able to save foods to their Favorites list, as well as read about how a food’s glycemic value affects their bodies. This 2.1 update also gives users the ability to add foods to the list, and switch languages.

Scor Business Solutions has updated iScor Invoice Pro for iOS devices to version 1.2. With the $9.99 app, users can create and email quotes on the spot, place orders with suppliers, accept payments, issue credits, schedule appointments, manage tax structure, view their profit and loss and more.

Gormaya has served Conversions for Cooking for iPhone 2.0, an update to their $1.99 cooking app. Conversions for Cooking features a list of equivalents tables. You can view tables of US dry and liquid volume, imperial volume, temperature and weight measurements. Users can also input data for quick conversions. Version 2.0 adds a calculator-like input for custom values that minimizes the taps needed to convert a value.

BKS Technologies has updated The Gracious Few for iOS — a free music app that allows fans to follow the activities, appearances, and new releases of this hard rock group — to version 1.15. The app enables fans to post comments within the app itself. The five-man group includes former members of Live and Candlebox.
