The latest in the never ending rumors on the iPhone 5 may have a curved glass design.
According to reports at “DigiTimes” (http://www.digitimes.com) and other sites, Apple is going to adopt a curved cover glass for its next generation model of the smartphone. The company has reportedly has purchased 200-300 glass cutting machines to be used by glass makers, according to unnamed sources in Taiwan.
“DigiTimes” says there’s no timetable yet for the volume production of iPhone 5 as Apple is currently still working with related suppliers including those involved in cover glass, glass cutting, lamination and touch sensors to improve yield rates. The next gen phone will arrive sometime between June and September, depending on which source you believe.
