DisplayLink launches new Mac drivers

DisplayLink has launched new software drivers for Mac OS X, its first major Mac driver update in over a year.

Immediately available for download from http://www.displaylink.com, the DisplayLink version 1.6 drivers feature improved performance and other enhancements that help Mac users create multi-monitor computing setups with USB 2.0 cables.

DisplayLink’s USB virtual graphics technology allows any Intel-based Mac to connect up to four separate monitors over USB. The newest driver also supports the USB video of various USB docking station products.

DisplayLink’s USB Graphics Macintosh Driver 1.6 supports Mac OS X 10.6 or higher. There’s a beta driver for Lion now available on the DisplayLink Forum.
